The root growth of the plants is very important for the absorption of nutrients and water, also for the anchoring, if the plant does not have a good root system, it will not be able to develop to its potential, so there will be a decrease in the quality of the fruit and hence low production. In the new plantations of banana, phosphorus is often used as a rooting agent and phytohormones such as auxins, cytokinins and gibberellins that help cell elongation, cell division and the mobilization of nutrients. The bioles are one of the phytoregulators due to the anaerobic decomposition process in which the green alga, known in its scientific name Ulva lactuca is added, which is found in the rocky areas of the Atlantic and Pacific Caribbean since it presents concentrations of cytokinins and auxins. The established treatments were phosphorus, hormone, biol and the control in tissue culture plants and plants from corms in the period of 10 weeks which were managed in the same way with monthly fertilizations. The data were analyzed through the R program and the treatment that had the best root growth with respect to its wet weight were tissue culture plants with phosphorus followed by hormonal treatment with a significant difference of (p≤0.05). The wet weight of the roots that were completely healthy and damaged was also measured, the healthy roots did not have significant differences, the damaged ones up to 25% only the phosphorus treatment in plants with tissue culture had a significant difference of (p≤0 , 05) and in the other treatments there were no differences in the damaged roots of 25% to 50%, they did not present any significant differences and the roots with damage of 50% to 75% and more than 75% could not be evaluated for the differences in treatments due to the lack of data existence.
