Zambia farmers are mostly dependent on rain season for their crop production hence, innovation systems need to be harnessed for agriculture production and storage in order to develop and diffuse new technologies to support the agricultural production. Women play a critical role in all aspects of agriculture activities in Nkeyema and Zambia at large they are believed to be the backbone of the rural economy and as primary caregivers to families and communities, women provide food, nutrition, they are the human link between the farm and the table. The objective of this study is to provide innovative ideas for food security alternatives for women in Kaoma Community aimed at improving agricultural production and standards of living. The study was based in Nkeyema district in the Western Province. Data was collected through two questionnaires: online and physical. The online questionnaire was conducted through a Facebook Community Group, whereas the physical questionnaire was door to door in which Nkeyema women participated, of which the focus group was selected for the case study. Based on the data collected, the authors concluded that the women need training in sustainable agricultural practices in the production of manure to cover for fertilizer shortages, rainwater harvesting and formation of women cooperative that would equip women with the right skills to improve production
