- ÍtemRestringidoAdapting sustainable practices to the current architectural styles of Bermuda houses.(Universidad EARTH, 2019-12) Symonds, Malachi Troy; McVeigh, NicholeAs the world ungenerously accepts the need to change its fossil fuel dependence, and to reexamine its consumption pattern, Bermuda seems to be in an ideal position to be part of the change. At only 54.39 km² in size, the island remains a key financial center hosting the third largest insurance domicile in the world. The industry drives a GDP per capita that ensures Bermuda consistently ranks amongst the top five richest countries in the world. The research conducted set out to detail alternatives to traditional energy sources in Bermuda based on its infrastructure, climate, and culture. The alternatives include seasonal products that are meant to improve quality of life, to recycling waste products that can reduce major pollutants of the water table which Bermuda strives to preserve. Finally, the research highlighted opportunities for entrepreneurs in Bermuda’s sustainability marketplace, encouraging and explaining ways to improve the overall ecology of Bermuda.
