dc.description.abstractSe evaluó el efecto herbicida de un extracto de plantas como método de control alternativo para arvenses. La investigación realizada fue en el área de plantación de tubérculos en la finca los Coyotes de la Universidad EARTH, provincia de Limón, durante los meses de julio y agosto del 2018, teniendo seis tratamientos de una sola aplicación de diferentes dosis y cinco repeticiones. Todas las dosis obtuvieron resultados favorables, sin embargo, el tratamiento 3 se destacó con una efectividad del 80 % en la tasa de mortalidad sobre las arvenses, permitiendo calcular la mejor dosis del extracto de plantas silvestres y Puccinia spp. Los resultados muestran un producto con alto potencial para ser implementado como una solución más amigable con el ambiente.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe herbicidal effect of a plant extract as an alternative control method for weeds was evaluated. The research carried out was in the tuber plantation area at the Coyotes farm of the EARTH University, province of Limón, during the months of July and August of 2018, having six treatments of a single application of different doses and five repetitions. All doses obtained favorable results; however, treatment 3 was highlighted with an effectiveness of 80 % in the mortality rate on weeds, allowing calculating the best dose of extract of wild plants and Puccinia spp. The results show a product with high potential to be implemented as a solution more friendly to the environment.es_ES
