dc.description.abstractLa quema excesiva de combustibles fósiles, las actividades de producción agropecuaria y la necesidad de alimentar una población creciente de más de 7000 millones de personas, han contribuido al desequilibrio entre la absorción y la emisión de CO2. En la actualidad, los sumideros naturales no son suficientes para frenar el ritmo impuesto por las emisiones de CO2 que dichas actividades económicas y sociales generan. Con la idea de equilibrar la absorción y la emisión, diversas organizaciones y líderes del mundo, han propuesto y ratificado una gran variedad de programas y planes de gestión, basados en estándares nacionales, regionales y mundiales. En dicho contexto, la Republica de Costa Rica asumió la difícil tarea de convertirse en una economía libre de emisiones de CO2 para el año 2021. En la presente entrega, se desarrolla una guía metodológica que permite a las pequeñas y medianas agroempresas (PYMES), entender y facilitar el proceso de la obtención de la Carbono Neutralidad, basadas en las normas nacionales INTE-ISO 14064-1, INTE-ISO 14064-2 e INTE-ISO 14064-3. Asimismo, se describen los pasos a seguir, en las etapas de planificación, elaboración y administración, hacia el equilibrio entre las emisiones y remociones de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI). Se proponen un conjunto de herramientas y formatos, para el reporte de los cálculos y para la verificación.es_ES
dc.description.abstractExcessive burning of fossil fuels, farming activities and the need to feed a growing population of more than 7000 billion people, have contributed to the imbalance between the absorption and emission of CO2. Currently, natural sinks are not enough to slow the pace imposed by CO2 emissions that these economic and social activities generate. With the idea of balancing the absorption and emission, various organizations and world leaders have proposed and ratified a variety of programs and management plans, based on national, regional and global standards. In this context, the Republic of Costa Rica took on the daunting task of becoming an economy free of CO2 emissions by 2021. In this delivery, a methodological guide that allows small and medium agro-enterprises (SMEs) develop understand and facilitate the process of obtaining carbon neutrality, based on national standards INTE-ISO 14064-1, INTE-ISO 14064-2 and INTE‑ISO 14064-3 also describes the steps to be followed in the stages of planning, development and administration, to the balance between emissions and removals of greenhouse gases (GHGs). A set of tools and formats for reporting calculations and verification are proposed.es_ES
