dc.description.abstractEl impacto del avance de las actividades agropecuarias es una grande presión de deforestación en zonas tropicales. Frente a eso, el establecimiento de modelos de producción agroecológicos son una herramienta importante de restauración ecológica y desarrollo rural sostenible. En este estudio se propone la implementación y documentación de un sitio de investigación agroecológica a través de la conversión de una parcela de pastoreo rotacional a un ensayo de producción agroecológica multiestrato en la Universidad EARTH, Costa Rica. El sistema propuesto involucra árboles maderables, árboles frutales, cultivos perenales, cultivos anuales y cultivos de servicio de una forma a optimizar patrones para imitar la arquitectura de un bosque natural y mantener la productividad. Se evaluaron características físicas, químicas y biológicas de suelo y la dinámica de población de arvenses bajo tres modelos de producción de anuales en entrelíneas. Además, se estableció la metodología hacer mapas ortomosaicos con cuadricópteros con sensores RGB integrados, softwares de fotogrametría y sistemas de información geoespacial para georreferenciar y documentar cambios espaciales. De igual forma, se propone un plan de manejo para cada componente del sistema. Durante el año, se logró mecanizar y condicionar el área a ser convertida y establecer la mayor parte de los componentes propuestos. Debido al corto tiempo entre los momentos de muestreo anteriores y posteriores a las actividades de conversión, no se verificaron cambios significativos entre los parámetros analizados. Se recomienda que se sigan tomando datos según las metodologías establecidas en la línea base.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe impact of the advancement of agricultural activities is a major driving force for deforestation in tropical regions. Concerning this, the establishment of agroecological production models are important tools in ecological restoration and sustainable rural development. This study proposes the implementation and documentation of an agroecological investigation site by means of the conversion of a rotational pasture parcel to an experimental multistory agroecological production system in EARTH University, Costa Rica. The proposed system involves the inclusion of lumber trees, fruit trees, perennial crops, annual crops and service crops in an optimized manner using patterns that imitate the architecture of a natural forest and maintain productivity. The physical, chemical and biological characteristics where evaluated in the soil, and the weed population dynamics in three different production models involving annual crop production in the alleys of the larger components. At the same time, there was a methodology established for creation of orthomosaic maps using quadcopters with integrated RGB sensors, photogrammetry software and geospatial information systems to georeferenced and document spatial change. Additionally, a plan was proposed for the management of each component in the system. Over the duration of the year, a conditioning and mechanization of the conversion site and establish the majority of the proposed components. Due to the short time frame between the anterior and posterior analysis of the conversion, the were no verification of significant changes within the analyzed parameters. It is recommended that the collection of data be continued following the methodology of the established baseline.es_ES
