Evaluación del embolse tipo "clausa" como alternativa para la producción del cultivo de banano.

dc.description.abstractEn la presente investigación se realizó la evaluación de sistemas de embolse para el cultivo de banano (Musa AAA) variedad Gran Enano en la provincia de Limón, Costa Rica. Se realizó una valoración del tipo de embolse utilizado en la actualidad y dos alternativas a este. Los tipos de embolse consisten en un embolse de polipropileno tipo clausa sin tratamiento de insecticidas (tratamiento 1), uno de polietileno de alta densidad clausa con bifentrina al 0.1 % (tratamiento 2) y el testigo que consiste en una bolsa de polietileno de baja densidad con bifentrina al 0.1 % e insecticida orgánico aplicado en los protectores. Se evaluó el perfil de racimo de cada tratamiento en donde se analizaron las variables de número de manos, peso de racimo, grado y largo de segunda y última mano, incidencia de cochinilla, mancha roja y fumagina. También se evaluó la calidad de producción determinando el porcentaje no aprovechado de fruta. Todos los tratamientos fueron efectivos para embolse de banano, sin embargo, el tratamiento 2 (Polietileno Alta Densidad Clausa) mostró ser el más efectivo en cuanto al término costo-beneficio debido que posee un costo de USD 557.66 ha / año que corresponde a un costo menor al del testigo que es de USD 758.38 ha/año. Además el tratamiento 2 tuvo un mayor número de manos de 7.67 siendo estadísticamente diferente a los otros dos tratamientos (p<0.05), un peso de racimo de 29.18 kg siendo superior el tratamiento 1 (p<0.05), una menor incidencia a cochinilla con un 3.5 % (p<0.05), y una menor cantidad de fruta no aprovechada con un 13.70 % mientras que el tratamiento 1 tuvo un 21.97 % y el testigo un 27.31 % de fruta no aprovechada.es_ES
dc.description.abstractIn the present investigation, was carried out the evaluation of bagging systems for banana cultivation (Musa AAA) Grand Nain variety in the province of Limón, Costa Rica. An assessment was made of the type of bag currently used and two alternatives to it. The types of bag consist of a clausa-type polypropylene bag without the use of insecticides (treatment 1), a clausa high-density polyethylene with bifenthrin (treatment 2) and the control consisting of a low-density polyethylene bag with bifenthrin and organic insecticide. The bunch profile of each treatment was evaluated where the variables of hand class, bunch weight, caliper and length of second and last hand, incidence of mealybug, red spot and sooty mold were analyzed. The production quality was also evaluated by determining the untapped percentage of fruit. All treatments were effective for banana bagging, however, treatment 2 (Clausa High Density Polyethylene) showed to be the most effective in terms of the cost-benefit term because it has a cost of USD 557.66 ha/year which corresponds to a lower cost that of the control which is USD 758.38 ha/year. In addition, treatment 2 had a greater hand class of 7.67 being statistically different from the other two treatments (p <0.05), a bunch weight of 29.18 kg, treatment 1 being superior (p <0.05), a lower incidence of mealybug with 3.5 % (p <0.05), and a lesser amount of unused fruit with 13.70% while treatment 1 had 21.97 % and the control 27.31 % of unused fruit.es_ES
