Resumen
El fácil acceso a dispositivos móviles hace de estos una herramienta con potencial para ser utilizadas dentro de la producción agrícola. A través de plataformas de diseño, como App Inventor del Massachusetts Institute of Technology, se hace posible la creación de pequeños programas o aplicaciones que facilitan tareas de cálculo en el campo de producción. “El Consultorio” es una aplicación que reúne calculadoras para aplicaciones foliares, interpretación de análisis de suelos y foliares, guías para realizar muestreos e incluso un paso a paso para la descripción de un perfil de suelo. Estas herramientas buscan apoyar al agricultor automatizando procesos de cálculo y guiándolo en la toma de muestras. Además, también existen otras aplicaciones, como “FinCAP”, desarrollada por el Centro de Agricultura de Precisión (CAP) de la Universidad EARTH en Liberia, Guanacaste. Sobre esta aplicación se trabajó en mejorar la GUI y en un sistema automatizado de diagnóstico que permite a los usuarios resolver consultas agronómicas a través de un diagnóstico con preguntas automáticas sin que un técnico tenga que visitar la plantación. Actualmente este tipo de herramientas se crean con el fin de reducir el tiempo de respuesta y así tomar decisiones de forma inmediata y más precisas.
The easy access to mobile devices makes these a tool with potential to be used for agricultural production. Through design platforms, such as App Inventor from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, it is possible to create small programs or applications that facilitate calculation tasks in the production field. "El Consultorio" is an application created for this project that brings together calculators for foliar applications, interpretation of soil and foliar analysis, sampling guides and even a step-by-step for the description of a soil profile. These tools seek to support the farmer by automating calculation processes and guiding him in taking samples. In addition, there are also other applications, such as “FinCAP”, developed by the Center for Precision Agriculture (CAP) of the EARTH University in Liberia, Guanacaste. Improvements on the GUI and an automated diagnostic system was developed on this application that allows users to solve agronomic queries through a diagnosis with automatic questions without a technician having to visit the plantation.
