dc.description.abstractLa falta de tecnologías a pequeña escala en la producción forrajera ocasiona altos costos para los productores y productoras agropecuarias. Con la doble finalidad de aportar a la disminución de estos costos y de desarrollar herramientas más inclusivas, se diseñó y construyó una sembradora artesanal a bajo costo con materiales reciclables, considerando tanto las necesidades de los beneficiarios como los requerimientos para la siembra de la pastura. Se establecieron varias pruebas para medir la eficiencia de la sembradora en el establecimiento de una pastura, así como su versatilidad para ser utilizada por personas de diferente género y contextura física. Se probaron cinco calibres para las boquillas, lo que permitió escoger la de 3/4°pulg que arroja 24 ± 1,7 semillas/m2 , ideal para cultivar el pasto elegido Urochloa brizantha cv. Toledo (Syn. Brachiaria brizantha). Se obtuvo un ancho de esas semillas de 2,5 ± 0,15 mm, un largo de 5,9 ± 0.46 mm y una cantidad de 90 ± 2,05 semillas/g. En las parcelas experimentales, cinco semanas después de sembradas con la sembradora (T1) y al voleo (T2), se obtuvieron 21 plantas/m2 y 22 plantas/m2 , respectivamente. La aplicación Canopeo contempló un porcentaje de cobertura del 15 % en T1 y 13 % en T2, comprobando además con el método al botanal que en T1 la mayor cobertura era de la pastura. Asimismo, se comprobó mayor uniformidad en la distancia de siembra en T1. Estos resultados se dieron utilizando el 50 % de semilla en T1, reduciendo así costos desde la primera hectárea sembrada. Se demostró que la sembradora es fácilmente manipulable por cualquier persona, sin importar su género ni contextura física. Dado que la herramienta puede ser fácilmente adaptada a distintas especies de forrajes y ambientes, se elaboraron y divulgaron materiales escritos y audiovisuales para facilitar su replicabilidad.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe lack of small-scale technologies in pasture production causes high costs for both female and male farmers. A low-cost artisan seeder with recyclable with the dual purpose of contributing to the reduction of these costs and developing more inclusive tools, was designed and built, taking into account both the needs of the beneficiaries and the requirements for sowing the pasture. Several tests were established to measure the efficiency of the seeder in the establishment of a pasture, as well as its versatility to be used by people of different gender and physical build. Five calibers were tested for the nozzles, which allowed to choose the one with the 3/4 in. That yields 24 ± 1.7 seeds/m2 , ideal for cultivating the chosen grass Urochloa brizantha cv. Toledo (Syn°Brachiaria brizantha). A width of these seeds of 2.5 ± 0.15 mm, a length of 5.9 ± 0.46 mm and an amount of 90 ± 2.05 seeds/g was obtained. In the experimental plots, five weeks after sowing with the seeder (T1) and by broadcast sowing (T2), 21 plants/m2 and 22 plants/m2 were obtained, respectively. The Canopeo application yielded a coverage percentage of 15 % in T1 and 13 % in T2. It was also checked via the botanal method that pasture had a higher coverage in T1. Likewise, greater uniformity was observed in the planting distance in T1. These results were obtained using 50% less seed in T1 than in T2, thus reducing costs from the first hectare planted. It was demonstrated that the planter is easily manipulated by anyone, regardless of their gender or physical constitution. Since the tool can be easily adapted to different species of forages and environments, written and audiovisual materials were disseminated so that the machine can be easily replicated.es_ES
