dc.description.abstractIn Bugesera District, Rwanda, water scarcity conditions everyday life. Actions addressed to provide a solution to this most challenging problem are of utmost importance. This project presents a hydrological and social-cultural diagnosis of water accessibility in the Gashora community of Bugesera that may help formulate a sustainable water management in this area. Besides, of the hydrological analysis, two thousand face-to-face interviews were made in order to clearly define the problems associated to water in this area. The conclusions lean mainly on the relevance that need to be placed on social-economic factors and cultural habits in order to ensure a better, safer and more gender equitable access to water in rural settings Africa.es_ES
dc.description.abstractEn el distrito de Bugesera, Ruanda, la escasez de agua condiciona la vida cotidiana. Las acciones dirigidas a proporcionar una solución a este problema tan desafiante son de suma importancia. Este proyecto presenta un diagnóstico hidrológico y sociocultural de la accesibilidad al agua en la comunidad Gashora de Bugesera que puede ayudar a formular una gestión sostenible del agua en esta área. Además del análisis hidrológico, se realizaron dos mil entrevistas personales con el fin de definir claramente los problemas asociados con el agua en esta área. Las conclusiones se basan principalmente en la relevancia que debe colocarse en los factores socioeconómicos y los hábitos culturales para garantizar un acceso al agua mejor, más seguro y con mayor equidad de género en los entornos rurales de África.es_ES
