The objective of this research was to evaluate endophytic fungal strains from isolates from farms and commercial products in the promotion of banana plant growth. Plants of the Grande Naine variety (Musa AAA) were inoculated with eight endophytic isolates; 5 of the genus Trichoderma obtained from the internal tissues of roots in banana plantations at EARTH University: three isolates from the organic banana farm (ENDO 1, ENDO 2 and ENDO 3), two isolates from the fallow banana farm (ENDO 4 and ENDO 5), in addition, three commercial treatments were used: Klamic (Pochonia chlamydosporia), Cronox (Trichoderma asperellum) and Cronox (Trichoderma atroviride), a treatment with chemical fungicide VERANGO®. In total there were 10 treatments: nine endophytic/chemical isolates and one control, each treatment had 10 repetitions. The growth variables evaluated were: the height of the plant, the diameter of the pseudostem and the number of leaves during twelve weeks of growth in the greenhouse and at the end of the experiment the plants were sacrificed, to evaluate the number of functional roots, the fresh and dry biomass of the plant. The results indicated that the height of the plant was higher in plants protected with Trichoderma where the best treatments were: ENDO 4 (47.09 cm) and ENDO 5 (46.19 cm) surpassing the control (43.79 cm). For the diameter of the pseudostem the best treatments were: VERANGO® (3.71 cm), ENDO 4 (3.70 cm) and ENDO 5 (3.64 cm), compared with the control (3.44 cm). For the number of functional roots, ENDO 4 statistically surpassed all treatments with (44.88 roots), compared to the control (39 roots). The total dry biomass presented the best treatments to VERANGO® (116.78 g), ENDO 3 (107.63 g) and ENDO 4 (106.25 g) compared to the control (60.25 g). For the germination of spores, ENDO 4 obtained the highest value over time and at 72 hours it reached (55.25 germinated spores) and the lowest was ENDO 2 (30.50 germinated spores), also ENDO 4 was the that most colonized at the root level (100% germination). The best treatment was ENDO 4.
