El objetivo de esta investigación se centró en evaluar el efecto de la suplementación líquida sobre la ganancia de peso y condición ovárica en novillas prepúberes. Se seleccionó un total de 44 novillas, las cuales fueron divididas en dos grupos iguales, control y suplemento. El grupo control tuvo un peso promedio de 232,64 ± 28,22 kg y fue alimentado con 1 kg de destilado de maíz y heno a libre consumo. El grupo con suplemento tuvo peso promedio de 229,98 ± 32,62 kg y fue alimentado con 1 kg de destilado de maíz, heno a libre consumo y 300 g de suplemento líquido NUTRITECH ENGORDE por novillas por día, en un sistema estabulado. El periodo de prueba fue de 90 días, monitoreando la ganancia de peso y crecimiento ovárico de cada novilla. La toma de datos se realizó cada 30 días, obteniendo un total de cuatro tomas de datos al día cero, día 30, día 60 y día 90. Se obtuvo como resultado, una diferencia significativa (p<0,10) sobre el crecimiento del ovario izquierdo, donde el grupo que recibió el suplemento líquido tuvo una dominancia sobre el grupo control con medias de 21,99 mm y 20,59 mm respectivamente. Con respecto a la ganancia de peso y el crecimiento del ovario derecho no se tuvo diferencias significativas.

The objective of this research was focused on evaluating the effect of a liquid supplementation on weight gain and ovarian condition in prepubertal heifers. A total of 44 heifers were selected, which were divided into two equal groups, control and supplement. The control group had an average weight of 232,64 ± 28,22 kg and was fed with 1 kg of corn distillate and hay for free consumption. The group with supplementation had an average weight of 229,98 ± 32,62 kg and was fed with 1 kg of corn distillate, free consumption hay and 300 g of NUTRITECH ENGORDE liquid supplement per heifer per day, in an established system. The test period was 90 days, monitoring the weight gain and ovarian growth of each heifer. Data collection was performed every 30 days, obtaining a total of four data collections on day zero, day 30, day 60 and day 90. A significant difference was obtained as a result (p<0,10) in the growth of the left ovary, where the group that received the liquid supplement had a dominance over the control group with mean values of 21.99 mm and 20.59 mm respectively. Regarding the weight gain and growth of the right ovary, there have been no significant difference.
