The objective of this work was to evaluate the efficacy of three antiparasitic products for the control of “Haemonchus contortus in diagnosed sheep, using the FAMACHA method and laboratory analysis through hematocrit and egg count. 90 sheep with an average weight between 25 and 45 kg, from the same pen and the same previous management, were used. The total duration of the experiment was 30 days, during which the sheep were treated with 3 different treatments, Ivermectin subcutaneously with a dose of 1ml / 50kg, Fenbendazole orally with a dose of 1ml / 20kg and Levamisole administered intramuscularly deep with a dose of 1mL / kg, following the doses recommended by the manufacturers. The group of animals was divided into 3 groups of approximately 30 animals. The FAMACHA method was used to determine the degree of anemia with its color chart, by comparing it with the review of the lower eyelid of the conjunctiva mucosa of the eye. A blood sample was taken with the use of a disposable syringe and an 18 x 1 ½ size needle in the jugular vein of the animals. The blood was kept in tubes without anticoagulant. The samples were then analyzed in the laboratory to calculate the total amount of red blood cells from the total percentage and determine the degree of anemia in the sheep. The parasite load was determined through stool samples that were collected from each animal and analyzed in the laboratory with the egg counting method and the use of the Mac Master camera that gives an estimate of the amount of parasites in the stool. According to the results obtained from the application of the three treatments, Ivermectin had lower efficiency with a percentage of 83.5%, Levamisole with an efficacy of 95.3% and Fenbendazole with an efficacy of 91.6% were the best treatments for the control of gastrointestinal parasites specifically the Haemonchus contortus studied.
