Bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L) belongs to the Solanaceae family, it is a not spicy and the cultivated form of the Capsicum genus. This genus was originated in America continent, southern part of Brazil and was domesticated in Mexico. Several diseases affect the crop for which various control tactics are used and the use of mycorrhizae (association between fungus and root) stand out among them. Vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizae fungi, belong to the phylum Glomeromycota, class Glomeromycetes, containing genera Glomus and Gigaspora that are used in this experiment to inoculate the seed of bell pepper at germination, in order to determine the effect on mycorrhizal colonization of roots, vegetative development and yield For this research five treatments were established design of randomized complete blocks design with chemical and organic fertilization at different doses, treatment 1 with 50 % of chemical fertilizer, treatment 2 with 100% of chemical fertilizer, treatment 3 with 100 % organic fertilizer, treatment 4 was the control with 100% of chemical fertilizer, treatment five with 50% of organic fertilizer. All treatments were inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi except the control. The variables evaluated were: root mycorrhizal colonization, diameter (mm), height (cm), weight of fresh biomass (g), mortality and yield per hectare. Among the results, there was mycorrhizal colonization in the roots of bell pepper plants, however statistically significant differences were determined only in the variable height where plants with the T5 and T3 treatments were statistically higher than plants with other treatments.
